No backtracking on Gutka ban decision: Khader

Mangalore, Jun 3, 2013: State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader has declared that there was no question of backtracking on the decision to ban Gutka in the state.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a private function here, Khader said the government would not bow to pressure from any corner and added that the Gutka ban will be strictly implemented.

Stating that Gutka consumption was one of the reasons for cancer, the minister  said  cases of cancer can be reduced by banning  Gutka.
