Nitte University Marks Founder’s Day 2025 with Reflections on Vision and Achievements

Mangaluru, June 13, 2025: Nitte University, a globally recognized institution with campuses in Nitte, Mangaluru, Bengaluru, and Deralakatte, celebrated Founder’s Day 2025, reflecting on its journey of providing quality education, healthcare, and impactful research. The event was organized by the Justice K. S. Hegde Charitable Hospital and K. S. Hegde Medical Academy.

Speaking online at the event, N. Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University, highlighted the institution’s growth and its transformative contributions to rural education and healthcare. "The achievements of Nitte University are the result of the vision and sacrifices of its founders," he said.

Chief guest Krishna Kumar Poonja, President of Parangipete Sewanjali Pratishthan, lauded the founder’s mission of making education and healthcare accessible to rural communities. "Nitte’s commitment to progress from villages is evident in its establishment of health centers in 21 villages, offering free services to the people," he remarked.

The event also witnessed remarks from key dignitaries, including Academic Pro-Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Shantaram Shetty, Administrative Vice Chancellor N. Vishal Hegde, Vice Chancellor Prof. M. S. Muditthaya, and Registrar Harsha Halahalli, who extended their best wishes.

Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions held during the celebrations. Dr. Sumalatha, Medical Superintendent of Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Sukanya Krishna Kumar introduced the chief guest, while Sumit Chowta hosted the program. Dr. Shiral Hegde, Medical Superintendent, delivered the vote of thanks.
