Newly elect Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo promises a modern bus stand for city

Mangalore, May 10, 2013: “Mangalore city deserves a modern bus stand and I will make all out efforts to see that the longstanding dream is realized,” said newly elected MLA from Mangalore South JR Lobo.

Addressing a press meet here on May 9, Thursday, Lobo said he will also ensure that the construction of the Thumbay second vented dam was completed at the earliest. Priority will be given to laying of footpaths wherever it is absent, Lobo said. Another promise which Lobo made was to take up the construction of the Rangamandir project.

 

 

 

Continuing he said maintenance of law and order, cracking down drug menace and moral policing are also on top of agenda and added there were even plans to revive the Mangalore Agenda Task Force  to chalk out plans for the development of the city. He further assured that the city will also have a modern central market which will replace the existing one.

 On the CDP of Mangalore city, Lobo said it had certain defects and the same would be discussed with competent authorities  to  ensure necessary modifications.

He also assured that all promises made in the Congress election manifesto will be fulfilled.

Congress leaders Suresh Ballal and Mohammad Badruddin were also present.
