New Ullal Qazi takes charge

Mangalore, Mar 7, 2014 : The new Qazi of Ullal Assayyid Fazal Haamid Koyamma Thangal  has taken charge. The Qazi who is popularly known as Koorath Thangal is the son of the  erstwhile Qazi Thajul Ulama Assayyid Abdurrahman Al-Bukhari who passed away recently.

The Qazi was crowned by placing a  turban on his head by Sheikh Sabah-al-Rifai-al-Qadir Baghdad and All India Sunni Jam’iyyathul Ulama President A P Aboobaker Kanthapuram, thereby symbolically handing over charge.

Several religious leaders and dignitaries including State Health Minister UT Khader were present.
