New International Terminal of Mangalore Airport to Open on May 15

Mangalore, April 17: The inauguration of the newly built Mysore Airport and a new international terminal of Mangalore airport will be held on May 15.

 

 

 

This was disclosed by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel to a delegation of Congress leaders from Karnataka here on Friday. A delegation led by State Congress unit president R V Deshpande met Patel to urge him to take steps to open these projects for commercial operation.

Though the construction of Mysore Airport completed last year, its commercial launch was put off due to lack of interest from commercial airlines. The new international terminal at Bajpe airport in Mangalore has been awaiting inauguration for the past several months.
