Nelyady: Bihar man arrested for damaging Ganesha Katte at Udane

Nelyady, September 12, 2021: Uppinangady Police have arrested a man named Ravindra (25) hailing from Bagalpur district in Bihar on the charges of vandalising the Ganesha Katte at Udane near here.

The Udane Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samithi had celebrated Ganeshotsava at the Katte in a simple way on Friday. The Katte was decorated for the occasion. However the same night the place was vandalised by damaging its steps by dumping a stone.

The local police who investigated the case, arrested the accused within 24 hours of the incident. He has presently been remanded to judicial custody.
