Naxals set ablaze GP members vehicles at Kutlur

According to sources, a group of around 10 to 20 armed Naxals first knocked at the doors of  GO member Ramachandra Bhat at Naravi at around 2 am. When Bhat did not open the door, they   chose to target the car and bike in the shed and set them on fire before leaving the place.

There is every possibility of the Naxals  resorting to such a step in an act of vengeance as Bhat runs an NGO and also assists  forest dwellers by  encouraging them to come out of the forest area and accept the rehabilitation package offered by the government.

Combing operations in Kutlur forest area has begun  following the incident.  IGP of Western Range Pratap Reddy and SP Shanthanu Sinha  are at the spot along with other police  officials.
