Nation will suffer if youth are deprived of opportunities: Shalini Rajaneesh

Mangalore, Jan 16, 2013: The future prospects of the nation will be affected to a great extent if  youth who are the driving force of the nation, are deprived of desired opportunities, said Dr Shalini Rajaneesh, Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms.

She was  speaking after inaugurating a state level Youth Convention –“Viveka Spoorthi Yuva Shakti” organised  at the Ramakrishna Mutt in Mangalore on January 16, Wednesday  in connection with the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The programme was  held under the aegis of Mangalore Akashavani and the Mutt.

Continuing, Shalini  Rajaneesh said bottlenecks and criticisms were common at every stage of an achievement, and added success can be achieved when one ignores the criticisms and concentrates on one’s goals.


India should consider itself privileged to have leader like Swami Vivekananda, she said and observed that Swami Vivekananda has proved that  enthusiasm coupled with good organizational capabilities were essential to achieve anything in life.

Swami Jithakamandaji, Head of the Mangalore branch of Ramakrishna Mutt, delivered the key-note address. K Raghottam Rao, Director of Manasa Training Institute, Bangalore, Prakashanandaji Maharaj of Renibennur and G Rameshchandran, Deputy Director (Technical) of Mangalore Akashavani were present as chief guests. Dr Vasanth Kumar Perla, Head of Programming, Mangalore Akashavani, presided over the function. Senior Announcer of Mangalore Akashvani Muddu Moodubelle compered the programme.
