Nation’s economy in shackles: Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley

Mangalore, April 28, 2013: The economy of the nation is in shackles due to widespread corruption. Several  years have also been wasted in trying to cover up corruption, said Arun Jaitley, senior BJP leader and  opposition leader in Rajya Sabha.

 

 

 

Giving a talk on India 2020 – Issues and Concerns’ organized by Citizens Council, Mangalore, at Sangha Niketan on April 27, Saturday, Jaitley said  the decline in good governance was visible due to weak government at the Centre. He said India  was in need of a leadership which is patriotic and can defend our sovereignty. He further said we need to visualize India 2020 in the midst of the challenges it faces including our relationship with our neighbouring countries.

 

Jaitley said we have a government at the Centre  which was encouraging illegal immigration from Bangladesh and described this as one example of vote bank politics.

Jaitley also chose to describe the CBI as  the police agency of Congress and added it was not allowed to do its job sincerely.
