Nanthoor accident: Bus Owners’ Association pays compensation to dead bus conductor’s kin

Mangaluru, Septemer 3, 2023: The South Kannada Bus Owners’ Association has provided compensation of one lakh rupees to the family of the victim of the Nanthoor bus accident.

Mr. Aziz Parthipadi, the president of the Association, presented the cheque to the sister of the deceased bus conductor Eerayya.

On this occasion, Ashok Tauro, the president of the Karavali Association, along with Chief Executive Officer Ramachandra Pilar, Vice Presidents Ramachandra Nayak, Yashu Chandrakala, Vinny D’souza and other members were also present.

The tragic demise of bus conductor Eerayya at Nanthoor Circle on August 30th deeply saddens us all. The incident was captured on video and circulated widely on social media. After clearing the traffic at Nanthoor Circle, the bus conductor attempted to jump onto the moving bus. However, as the driver accelerated the bus at full speed while approaching the junction, the conductor lost his footing and suffered a fatal fall on the road.
