Nammadu on Dec 16 to increase cultural awareness among students

Mangalore, Dec 13, 2011: St. Aloysius PU College and Mangalore Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishad will host a cultural and literary event titled Nammadu, comprising competitions of PU and high school students in the Loyola Hall of St. Aloysius College on Dec 16. 

Addressing reporters at a press meet held today, St. Aloysius College Principal Prof. John Edward D’Silva said that the event is based on the theme of the culture of Karnataka and will comprise competitions such as elocution, folk dance, and debate. 

The objective of organizing this event is to enhance awareness regarding the region’s culture and traditions among the participants. 

Mangalore Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishad Sarvottam Anchan, Dr. Ganesh Ameen Sankamar, Dr. Kishore Kumar Rai Sheni, and Dr. Pradeep M. were also present.
