Though initially, it was suspected that the girl might have committed suicide, her family which hails from Dolpady in Puttur is now arguing that it was not a suicide and that Pramila was murdered.

Pramila’s  father Ammu Poojari who had come to take her body from the Wenlock Mortuary,  spoke to reporters and said his daughter might not have committed suicide. He strongly suspects that she might have been murdered as Pramila was a brave girl who would not have thought of ending her life.

He said Pramila had come to Mangalor a year ago to undergo a computer course and even worked part time at a cloth store and stayed at a hostel at Kadri.

He recollects his daughter’s  phone call   on March 17, Sunday and said his daughter was very much normal and had said she would be coming home for a relative’s wedding scheduled to be held on March 21.

Ammu Poojari says his daughter’s hands were found bruised and scratch marks were seen on her chest. However, police reportedly say they were bee sting marks. But, Ammu is not ready to believe this.

Meanwhile, Pramila’s computer teacher, on condition of anonymity said  Pramila had always been punctual to class   and had even attended class as usual on March 18, Monday.
