Udupi  Nov 17, 2012 : Kota Shrinivas Poojary, the port and muzrai minister, inaugurated the Suvarna Soudha, the construction of which cost Rs. 8 lakh, at Byndoor on Nov 16, Friday.

In his address, he said that the Gram Panchayats and the Zilla Panchayats must provide smooth and efficient administration as they enable the state and central governments to function smoothly.

Stating that the government has sanctioned crores of rupees so that the Taluk Panchayats and the Gram Panchayats can initiate development projects, he cited the example of Paduvari Panchayat, which received Rs. 27 crore to launch drinking water projects.

Among those present were Byndoor MLA Laxminarayan, Kundapur TP President Deepika Shetty, ZP member Gauri Devadiga, TP member Mogaveera, ZP member Babu Shetty, Circle Inspector Arun B. Na8k, Paduvari GP President Jaya Laxmi Devadiga, and many others.
