Mulki Police Arrest Associate of Underworld Fugitive Kali Yogish

Mangaluru, Oct 5, 2025: The Mulki police have arrested Srinivas Shetty alias Sheenu (45), a close associate of the absconding underworld fugitive Kali Yogish, after he evaded law enforcement for several years.

Commissioner of Police Sudheer Kumar Reddy said that Srinivas, son of the late Krishna Shetty and a resident of Chitrapu village in Mulki taluk, was wanted in a case registered under the Karnataka Control of Organized Crimes Act (KCOCA). He had been absconding for eight years, leading the Principal District and Sessions Court, Mysuru, to issue a warrant against him.

Based on credible inputs, a special police team traced Srinivas to Mumbai, where he was arrested. The operation was carried out under the guidance of ACP Srikanth (Mangaluru North Sub-Division, Panambur) and led by Mulki Police Inspector Manjunath B.S. and Sub-Inspector Umesh Kumar M.N., with the support of ASI Suresh Kundar and Head Constable Uday.

The accused was produced before the court, which remanded him in judicial custody.
