Muhurtham of Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat performed by celebrating Harvest Festival

Moodbidri, Dec 14, 2013: The Muhurtham for the four day Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat scheduled to begin in Moodbidri on December 19, was performed at Vidyagiri on December 13, Friday in the presence of a number of dignitaries.

The  Muhurtham was performed in a unique manner by celebrating harvest  festival in the College  premises    by bringing the fresh paddy stocks and vegetables  from the Bakimar fields.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, said the paddy grown here will be displayed during the  Nudisiri event. He also said there will be a demo on  farming techniques in the Bakimar fields during the event in order to develop a love for farming among students.

Chandrahas Devadiga, Working President of Moodbidri unit of Tulu Koota, Sudhaker Poonja, farmer,  H Dhankeerthi Balipa, Raitha Sangha President,  Sampath Samrajya, District Krishika Samaja President, ZP member Sunitha Sucharitha Shetty and others were present.
