Mudigere: One dead, nine seriously injured as TT vehicle overturns at Charmadi Ghat

Mudigere, Mar 21, 2026: One person was killed and nine others were seriously injured after a TT vehicle overturned at Charmadi Ghat on Saturday.

The accident occurred at the ninth curve of Charmadi Ghat in Beltangady taluk after the vehicle reportedly suffered a brake failure. A total of 10 people, including three children from Melanahalli in Bhadravati taluk of Shivamogga district, were travelling in the vehicle.

 

Out of the 13 members of the same family travelling in the TT vehicle, nine sustained serious injuries. Shekharappa (59), a resident of Melanahalli, died in the incident. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

Sub-Inspector Kishore P. and his team from the Beltangady Traffic Police Station visited the spot and are conducting an investigation.
