
Mangalore, Dec 12, 2012 : The mortal remains of Archbishop Ambrose Madtha, the Papal Envoy to Ivory Coast, who passed away in a road mishap in Ivory Coast, is likely to be brought to Mangalore within the next few days.
Sources have revealed that the exact date as to when the last rites of Fr Madtha would be performed will be known after the Vatican procedures are complete.
An official request to the Apostolic Nunciature of India has already been made by the Parish Priest of Belthangady Parish as well as the family of Archbishop Madtha expressing their wish to have the final rites of Fr Madtha performed at the Holy Redeemer’s Church, Belthangady.
The fatal accident that claimed the life of Archbishop Ambrose Madtha took place on December 8 in Biankouma, Abidjan of Ivory Coast.
