Moon Shine raid case will be investigated, promises CM

Mangalore, Feb 26, 2012: Interacting with reporters at Mangalore Airport CM D. V. Sadananda Gowda said that he will request the home minister to direct an investigation into the case in which the city police allegedly raided a beauty parlor just to harass the owner for non payment of hafta.

The CM was on his way to Udupi, where he is scheduled to participate in two events. 

It may be recalled that Sathish Rai, the owner of Moon Shine, a beauty parlor and spa in the city, had called a press meet, during which he alleged that the Kadri police had conducted a raid on his beauty parlor two weeks back because they wanted to teach him a lesson for refusing to pay them hafta. 

Seemanth Kumar Singh, the Mangalore police commissioner, had also informed the press that the issue will be investigated and action will be taken against the police if they are found to be guilty.
