According to police, officers were conducting vehicle checks during routine rounds based on credible information. When they signalled the speeding Brezza car to stop, the accused allegedly ignored the order and attempted to flee.

Alert police personnel chased the vehicle in a dramatic operation. With no way to escape, the accused reportedly drove the car into the compound of a house and tried to run away, but police managed to surround and apprehend them.

During inspection of the vehicle, police found cattle tied up in a cruel manner, with their legs and heads bound tightly in the rear section of the car. Police suspect the cattle were being stolen and transported either for illegal slaughter or meat trade.
