Moodbidri: Thieves target 2 houses; rob valuables worth Rs 10 lakhs

Moodbidri, Mar 20, 2023: Valuables worth nearly Rs 10 lakhs were stolen in burglary  in two houses near the Alangar Mahalingeshwar Temple on March 19.

The houses belonged to Ratnaker Jain and Dheerendra Hegde, both retired bank officials. The families had been to the Jain Basadi for morning prayers when the theft took place.

 

The thieves who gained entry into Ratnaker’s house by breaking the back door,  managed to enter  Dheerendra’s house through the front door.

Canine squad and fingerprint experts were pressed into service to gather clues. Further investigations are in progress.
