Moodbidri: PUC student dies of suspected Dengue

Moodbidri, Mar 14, 2023: A 17 year old girl from Jyotinagar in Moodbidri has died due to suspected Dengue.

The deceased is Misriya. She was a first PUC (Science) student of Alva’s College. It is learnt, Misriya had suffered due to a drop in her white blood cells.

 

She was the daughter of Mayyaddi and Ramlath couple. Misriya was suffering from high fever since some days and was being treated at a private hospital.

Taluk Health Officer Dr Sujay Bhandari said the private hospital where the girl was being treated was yet to provide report to the Health Department regarding this case. If at all Dengue is confirmed, then this would be the first Dengue death case in Moodbidri, he added.
