Moodbidri: Mother, son killed in bike–lorry collision near petrol pump

Moodbidri, Apr 1, 2026: A tragic road accident near a petrol pump in Moodbidri on Tuesday evening claimed the lives of a mother and her son.

The deceased have been identified as Prema and her son Seena, residents of Gantalkatte Neralke in Moodbidri taluk.

According to reports, the duo were travelling on a bike from Moodbidri towards Gantalkatte when their two-wheeler rammed into a lorry that was parked by the roadside. Due to the impact, Prema died on the spot.

Seen, who sustained critical injuries, died on the way to the hospital, sources said.
