Moodbidri: Lorry crashes into wall after Google Maps misguides driver in Kadandale

Moodbidri, December 11, 2025: A goods lorry rammed into a roadside wall at the Kadandale downhill curve in Paladka Gram Panchayat limits after the driver, who was relying on Google Maps for navigation, lost control of the vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the accident.

The incident occurred around 2 am on Wednesday. The driver, unfamiliar with the route, got confused while navigating the steep and narrow downhill stretch at Kadandale. Unable to manage the sharp and risky turn, he lost control, causing the lorry to veer onto the wrong side of the road and crash into a retaining wall built at the base of a hill.

The driver later informed that he was supposed to head towards the paper mill located in Moodbidri Municipal limits. However, he ended up on this route after following directions on Google Maps and became stuck in the difficult terrain.
