Moodbidri: Labourer falls to death during construction work

Moodbidri, June 01, 2024: A labourer lost balance and died during construction work of a school building near the Hanuman temple in Moodbidri.

The deceased is Suresh. It is learnt, an iron plank which was placed for him to stand while doing his work, had slipped following which Suresh fell to the ground and sustained serious injuries.

 

Though he was rushed to the hospital, he breathed his last there. It has been alleged that the contractor Harish Shetty, sub-cobntractors Yellappa and Girish failed to use safety equipment resulting in the mishap.

A complaint has been lodged in Moodbidri police station.
