
Moodbidri, Jan 27, 2026: A cow that accidentally fell into a 60-foot-deep well was successfully rescued by the Moodbidri Fire and Emergency Services personnel on Monday at Badagamijaru, under the Tenkamijaru Gram Panchayat limits.
The well, about 60 feet deep and 5 feet wide, belongs to Badagamijaru resident Jayaram Gowda. Family members and locals noticed the cow had fallen into the well and immediately informed the fire department.
On receiving the information, fire personnel rushed to the spot, descended into the well, and safely lifted the cow using ropes, ensuring it was not injured.
Despite the depth of the well, the timely response and skilled rescue operation by the firefighters have been widely appreciated by the public.
