Moodbidri: College student dies as bus hits bike

Moodbidri, June 06, 2023: A student of a private college lost his life after a bus collided against his scooter at Handelu in Todar on the Mangaluru-Karkala National Highway on June 5, Monday.

 

The deceased is Karthik Acharya (19), son of Chandrahas Acharya of Rajeshwari Jewellers. He was a BCA student of Alva’s College.

Pillion rider Harsha of the same college has sustained minor injuries. Karthik was on way home from college when the private bus on way to Moodbidri from Mangaluru hit the bike in its bid to overtake.

Moodbidri police have registered a case against the bus driver for negligent driving.
