Moodbidri, Sep 28, 2026: A 15-year-old girl from Moodbidri has created a world record by conducting awareness workshops on managing exam stress and improving study habits for more than 4,500 students across 51 schools in 15 days.

Vishnupriya Pai, a Class 10 student of Alva’s Central School, Moodbidri, visited schools across Karnataka as part of an initiative aimed at helping students overcome exam anxiety and prepare for examinations with greater confidence. Her achievement has been recognised by the Golden Book of World Records.

Vishnupriya developed a keen interest in mental health, counselling and psychology while she was in Class 6. Over the past four years, she completed online courses through the Indian Counselling Services to expand her knowledge in the field.

Instead of limiting her learning to academics, she decided to share her knowledge with students who, like her, experience exam-related anxiety.

From August 24 to September 11, Vishnupriya visited 51 schools across Hassan, Kodagu, Bengaluru, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts. She conducted one-hour workshops each day, explaining simple and practical ways to manage exam stress, improve time management, adopt effective study techniques and prepare for examinations using scientifically backed methods.

The Golden Book of World Records monitored her initiative and recognised it as a world record.

The official world record certificate will be presented to Vishnupriya on October 1 in the presence of Dr M. Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation.

Her initiative, undertaken while still a school student to support the mental preparedness of fellow students, has received appreciation across the state.
