Moodbidri: Body of missing man found near his house

Moodbidri, July 4, 2026: The body of a 34-year-old man who had been missing since Thursday was found outside a shed near his house on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Karthik Shetty (34), a resident of Bangerabettu near Alangaru Ashraya Colony in Moodbidri.

Karthik was unmarried and worked as a contractor operating Hitachi and JCB earthmoving machines. After receiving information about the incident, police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.

Preliminary findings suggest that he may have died of a heart attack. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem examination report is received.
