Speaking to reporters, Ivan said a complaint has been lodged against the Minister with the City Police Commissioner, under the IPC Section 352.

He said the Congress will  protest until Ashwathanarayana quits his post and until the police arrest him.

He questioned whether the minister who is trying to instill hatred in the minds of people against Tipu, would make similar statements against Jagadish Shettar who had released a book on Tipu and  former CM Yediyurappa who had donned an attire like Tipu in the past.

Congress leaders Sabitha Misquith, Appi, Kodijal Ibrahim and others were present.
