Mini Eiffel Tower, Interpretation Centre inaugurated at Pilikula

Mangaluru, July 27,2016: The Interpretation Centre at Pilikula Biological Park and Mini Eiffel Tower at the Lake Garden were inaugurated on July 27, Wednesday by DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai. The Interpretation Centre has been sponsored by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Jayaprakash Bhandary, Executive Director of Pilikula Nisargadhama said the Interpretation Centre has been set up at a cost of Rs 28 lakhs utilising the Corporate Social Responsibility Funds of the HPCL.


The 50 feet tall Mini Eiffel Tower has been constructed  by spending nearly Rs 5 lakhs with the help of donors, he said and added that there were plans to construct replicas of Qutub Minar and India Gate too with an objective of attracting tourists. Bhandary also spoke of the plans to have a rain water harvesting centre at the park on a large scale.
