Mashara Friends celebrate 3rd anniversary with Bajpe Souharda Ceremony

Mangalore, Nov 25, 2012: The Mashara Friends organized a musical evening called Bajpe Souharda Ceremony as part of its 3rd anniversary celebrations at Bajpe on Nov 24, Saturday.

ASP Ravikumar S of Panambur inaugurated the event by releasing a pigeon into the air while JD(S) Udupi Executive President Ghulam Ahmed presided.

Mashara Friends provided financial assistance to 4 people suffering from kidney diseases on this occasion.

 

 

 

 

The dignitaries on the dais honored M. R. Vasudeva, former director of the Mangalore International Airport; A. Sadananda Shetty, chairman of Shri Devi Educational Institution; Rithesh Shetty, vice president of DK Zilla Panchayat; Sahul Hameed, president of Bajpe GP; and Abdul Aziz Baikampady, president of the All Beary Parishad.

Speaking on the occasion, M. R. Vasudeva said that the honor bestowed on him ought to have been bestowed on MLA Abhayachandra Jain who played a major role in getting the international tag for Bajpe Airport. He also urged the people of Bajpe to support the present director of Mangalore International Airport.

A troupe of musicians from Kerala presented a musical show as part of Mashara Friends’ third anniversary celebrations.

Among those present were MLA K. Abhayachandra Jain; Jagadish Shetty, founder president of Popular English Medium School; Dinaker Shetter, inspector of Bajpe, Purushottam Rai of Rai Builders and Developers; Denis D’Souza, vice president of Vyavasaya Sava Sahakari Bank in Bajpe; Mohammed Haneef, director of VSS Bank in Bajpe; and Mohammed Ashraf, president of Mashara Friends.
