Maruthi Omni catches fire. Couple escaped unhurt miraculously.

Mangalore, Jan 18, 2011 : A gas fitted Maruthi Omni catches fire while running near Mahaveer Circle, Mangalore today at 4.30 pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2012. The passengers in the vehicle, Mr. Rajendra, a lecturer and his wife Vijaya Kumari escaped unhurt miraculously. 

 

 

 

 

The Maruthi Omni bearing No. KA 19-P 8757 had filled the gas at Capitanio Petrol bunk and was on its way to Yermal from Bantwal. The driver noticed fire and stopped near Karnataka Bank Head office building in NH 66. The travelers jumped out of the vehicle in time before the fire.

 

The vehicle had totaly charred before the fire service arived at the scene.
