Married woman ends life at parental home

Puttur, April 12, 2023: A married woman has committed suicide by jumping  into a well near her parental home at Gummatagadde in Bettampady village of Puttur taluk.

 

The deceased is Punyashree (32), wife of Purushotham of Puduvettu village of Belthangady taluk. Punyashree had arrived at her parental home a few days ago. On April 10 she reportedly made a video call to her husband. The same day she spoke to her aunt and  had reportedly informed that she would end her life.

Later, Punyashree had jumped into the well. The exact reason behind the suicide is not known. She has left behind her husband and two kids.
