Mangalore, Nov 12, 2011: Uttarakhand Governor Margaret Alva, who was in Kochi for a conference, was admitted to a private hospital there yesterday evening because of low blood pressure.
Sources at the Medical Trust Hospital told that her condition was stable this morning and that she would be shifted out of the intensive care unit (ICU) by this evening.
"Doctors have examined her again this morning and her blood pressure is normal," they said.
Ms Alva, 69, was in Kochi to inaugurate the National Conference of the Council of Catholic Women of India. She was taken to the hospital after she complained of giddiness, the sources added.
