Manipal police seize illegal fire cracker stock from shop at Manipal

Udupi, Oct 12, 2023: Manipal Police along with the Tahsildar of Udupi and Fire Service officials raided a shop at Manipal which had unauthorized stock of fire crackers and seized the fire crackers.

 

During the raid on Raghuram General Stores, the officials found fire crackers stocked in cartons in a 30X20 room without any permission.

Police said the shop owner Shivaprasad Thakur (43) of Herga has admitted his guilt. The value of the seized fire crackers weighing 766 kg is Rs 1,26,700.
