Manipal gang rape: Court to resume trials from Jan 6

Udupi, Nov 18, 2013:  The District Sessions Court has ordered resume of trials in the Manipal gang rape case from January 6. All the five accused in the case were produced before the court on November 18, Monday.

 

The prime  accused  Yogish Poojary (30), Hariprasad Poojary (27) and Anand Panar (28) along with the two other accused Harindra and Balachandra who are accused of destroying evidences, were produced before the Court on November 18, Monday.

 District Sessions Court Magistrate B M Angadi issued an order to all the witnesses to appear for trials from January 6. The court has also directed all the 108 witnesses in the case to appear for trials beginning from January 6.

The judicial custody of the accused has been extended till January 6.
