Manipal Technologies Limited prints JK Rowlings latest book

Manipal, Sept. 29, 2012: Manipal Technologies Limited is one of the three printers carefully handpicked by the global publishers of J. K. Rowling’s much-awaited book “The Casual Vacancy.”

Manipal Technologies Limited and Hachette India worked as partners for the first high-security task of printing the book in India. This is the first time a book by J. K. Rowling, the famous creator of the boy wizard Harry Potter, has been printed in Asia. Hachette India MD Thomas Abraham said that they are delighted to do the first high-security print job in India, expressing hopes that this is the first of many such books being printed here. He congratulated Manipal Technologies Limited for its flawless delivery.

Manipal Technologies Limited MD Gautham Pai said that they are privileged to partner with Hachette in India’s first high-security book printing. The printer also feels privileged of being the first Asian printer to print a book by J. K. Rowling.

According to B. G. Vishnuprasad, head (corporate strategy) for Manipal Technologies Limited, the company printed 1 lakh copies of J. K. Rowling’s newest book, adding that the company’s long-term relationship with Hachette helped it get the job.
