Manipal: Scooter rider seriously injured in collision with car

Udupi, Jun 20, 2026: A scooter rider sustained serious injuries after a collision between a car and a scooter near the Petrol Bunk Junction in Eshwar Nagar, Manipal.

The injured has been identified as Abhishek, a resident of Garadi in Herga village.

Abhishek suffered a severe head injury in the accident and also sustained injuries to his hands and legs. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred when a car was travelling from Kundapur towards Bajagoli. As the scooter rider attempted to take a turn near the petrol bunk, the car reportedly collided with the scooter.

Manipal police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
