Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2026: Shadrak Emmanuval (41), a resident of Kodakkal in Padil-Kannur, Mangaluru, who is employed in Israel, has been missing for the past 12 days. As he has neither reported for work nor contacted his family, his relatives have appealed to the Union government to help trace him.

The family has submitted appeals to Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta, the Mangaluru City Police Commissioner and the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv, seeking assistance in locating him.

Shadrak travelled to Israel on May 16, 2025, on an employment visa after securing a job through a recruitment agency in Mangaluru. He was working with UCT Liquid Solutions, a construction company in Nof HaGalil, near Nazareth in northern Israel.

He regularly kept in touch with his family through WhatsApp calls. On October 16, he spoke to them for around 22 minutes, after which contact with him was lost. He has not reported for work since then. Repeated attempts by his family and friends in Israel to contact him have been unsuccessful, heightening their concern.

“His call got disconnected while we were speaking on the night of October 16. Since then, my son has not answered our calls,” his mother, Ratna, told reporters on Tuesday.

Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta said he had written to the Union Minister for External Affairs, bringing the matter to his attention. He added that the Indian Embassy in Israel was making efforts to trace Shadrak and that he had also spoken to the Consul General of Israel in Bengaluru.
