Mangaluru: Youth ends life after honey-trap blackmail; names four in death note

Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2025: In a shocking incident, a youth ended his life after allegedly being honey-trapped and blackmailed for money using a private video. Before taking the extreme step, he left behind a death note naming four people and detailing the harassment he faced.

The deceased has been identified as Abhishek, a resident of Parapady, Nitte, who was working as a biomedical technician at Lady Goschen Government Hospital in Mangaluru.

In his note, Abhishek reportedly mentioned that Nireeksha, Rahul, Rakesh, and Taslim, along with a few others, had been harassing him mentally and physically, demanding money and threatening him. He wrote that they had threatened to kill him and dump his body on the road.

According to police sources, the death note clearly names those responsible, and if the investigation confirms the details, the individuals involved may face serious legal consequences.

The tragic case highlights the growing menace of honey-trap and blackmail crimes, which continue to claim young lives.
