Mangaluru: Youth attacked with sword for filming bike-borne miscreants

Mangaluru, Nov 25, 2025: A youth was attacked with a deadly weapon on the outskirts of Mangaluru, within the Bajpe police station limits.

Akhilesh, a resident of Poopadikallu, was assaulted and sustained a cut injury on his hand. The incident occurred after Akhilesh recorded a video on his mobile phone of three men riding a bike while carrying a deadly weapon. Objecting to being filmed, the miscreants allegedly swung a sword at him.

Injured Akhilesh is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Moodbidri.

Bajpe police visited the spot and have begun an investigation into the incident.
