Mangaluru, Nov 20, 2025: A massive torchlight march was organised by Youth Congress Mangaluru North under the leadership of KPCC General Secretary Inayath Ali on Wednesday evening, protesting the recent acts of violence in Delhi and alleged “vote theft.” The march began at Krishnapura Cross and concluded at Surathkal town.
Speaking at the gathering afterward, Inayath Ali said, “The BJP’s attempts to cling to power in the country through unethical means are condemnable. Vote rigging has already been exposed, with instances of the same person casting votes at multiple booths. In Haryana, using a photo of a woman model from Brazil, votes were cast in over 22 locations. In Bihar, vote theft has played a major role in the BJP coming to power. The destructive incidents in Delhi also reflect the inaction of the BJP government. Protests will soon be organised across various parts of the country against the central government,” he said.
National Coordinator Nigam Bhandari said, “The time has come to put an end to the vote theft that took place in Bihar. Voting determines the future of the country. But the votes cast for the Congress are ending up benefiting other parties. We must all unite to stop this.”
Padmaraj R. said, “If destructive acts occur in Delhi just a day before the final phase of voting in Bihar, it is obvious who is behind it. Even though the nation’s top investigative and intelligence agencies are under the control of the central government, they have failed to curb such acts. The BJP has used vote theft as a tool to gain power in the Bihar elections. There must be nationwide protests and resistance against such vote theft. We must all stand with senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi,” he added.
Youth Congress State President Manjunath Gowda, Kalyan Tejas, Ibrahim Nawaz, Purushotham Chitrapura, Sadashiva Shetty, Anil, Bahubali, and others were present on the occasion. Rehman Khan Kunjattabail compered the event, and Surathkal Block Congress President Purushotham Chitrapura proposed the vote of thanks.
