Mangaluru: Weekend curfew from tonight; scheduled weddings allowed

Mangaluru, Jan 14, 2022: As the weekend curfew aimed at curbing the rising Covid infection cases will come into force tonight  as last week and will continue till Monday morning 5 am, Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has said that only weddings and religious rituals including Yakshagana organised as Harake will  be allowed during the curfew period.

 

He said that only a maximum 100 people can participate in indoor functions while a maximum of 200 people can attend outdoor functions.

Public transport however will be available during the weekend curfew. Essential shops and medical stores will function as usual and schools and colleges will remain closed.

People also cannot visit temples during the weekend curfew.
