Mangaluru, December 23, 2025: Ullal police have taken a 22-year-old man into custody for allegedly selling MDMA crystals at a public place near the Falah School bus stop on KC Road in Talapady village. Two other suspected drug peddlers managed to flee during the police raid.
The arrested accused has been identified as Sheikh Mohammad Kaif (22), a resident of Uppala in Manjeshwar, Kerala. Police seized 11 grams of banned MDMA crystals worth about ₹55,000 from his possession, along with a weighing scale allegedly used for the offence, ₹500 in cash, and a mobile phone.
According to police, the other two accused—identified as Shameer Kamble and Javeed, both from Uppala—escaped on a motorcycle when the raid was conducted.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Mohammad Kaif, along with Shameer Kamble and Javeed, was allegedly supplying MDMA crystals to known customers at the public spot near Falah School on KC Road to support a lavish lifestyle. Acting on credible information, Ullal police conducted the raid, during which two of the accused fled.
Sheikh Mohammad Kaif was later produced before a court, while efforts are on to trace and arrest the absconding accused.
