
Mangaluru, Mar 30, 2026: A two-wheeler rider was killed after his vehicle rammed into a tanker from behind near Arkula Bridge on Sunday morning, according to reports.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Ashfaq (22), a resident of Parangipete.
The incident occurred near a furniture shop close to Arkula Bridge, when a tanker heading towards B.C. Road was hit from behind by the two-wheeler. As a result, Ashfaq sustained severe injuries.
He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Padil, where he received first aid. However, he died while being shifted to another private hospital in the city for further treatment, police said.
A case has been registered by the traffic police.
