Mangaluru: Two arrested for transporting ganja in car; drugs seized

Mangaluru, Feb 7, 2026: Konaje police arrested two accused who were allegedly transporting ganja in a car for sale and seized a large quantity of the contraband near Mudipu.

The arrested persons have been identified as Naushad and Ibrahim. Acting on a tip-off that the accused were transporting bundles of ganja via the Melkar–Sajipa–Boliaru route for sale in Mudipu and neighbouring Kerala, Konaje police intercepted the vehicle at Mittakodi in Kurnadu village.

When the accused attempted to flee, the police apprehended them and seized around 80 kg of ganja. The car used for the crime and three mobile phones were also confiscated.
