Mangaluru : Trio arrested for online cricket betting

Mangaluru, Mar 27, 2019: The DCIB cops have arrested three persons on the charges of indulging in online cricket betting.

Those arrested are James, Anil Raj and Bhanu Prakash Shetty. Another accused Manohar has managed to escape. Police have seized a cash of Rs 62,700 and four mobile phones from the arrested persons.

The trio who had taken a room near KSRTC bus stand on rent were indulging in the illegal  business through a mobile application.

The CCB police  raided the place following a tip off. One of the accused Bhanuprakash was employed in a networking firm  near Bunts Hostel, while James was a security guard.
