Mangaluru: Three injured as fish-laden pickup overturns on Nethravathi Bridge

Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2025: Three people were injured when a pickup vehicle transporting fish skidded and overturned after the driver lost control on the Nethravathi Bridge at Jappinamogaru on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the injured have been identified as the driver, Ratheesh (38), and passengers Shailaja (57) and Sharada (60). They were admitted to a private hospital in the city for treatment.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. when the fish-laden pickup (registration number KL 14 N 8273) was traveling from Mangaluru toward Thalapady in Kerala. Preliminary reports suggest that the mishap occurred due to the driver’s negligence, causing the vehicle to skid and overturn.
