Mangaluru, Oct 6, 2025: The state has completed 71% of the social and educational survey, School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa informed on Monday.
Speaking to reporters, the minister said that delays in coordination and mapping had affected the survey in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. While Sulya has completed 100% of the survey, Mangaluru has only achieved 48% so far.
He added that there are just two days left to complete the survey, and further decisions will be taken by the Chief Minister based on the commission’s recommendations.
The minister stated that schools are scheduled to reopen on Wednesday. In case the survey is not completed, teachers may conduct it before school starts, after school hours, or on weekends and holidays, as per the commission’s instructions.
He emphasized that the survey is extremely important in the current system, and everyone should voluntarily cooperate to ensure its completion.
