Mangaluru: Special Passport Adalat on September 5 to clear pending applications

Mangaluru, Aug 27, 2026: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Bengaluru, will conduct a special ‘Passport Adalat’ at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) in Mangaluru on September 5 to resolve pending and complex passport applications.

The Adalat will be held from 10 am to 12 noon at the Mangaluru PSK. A similar session will be conducted at the PSK in Hubballi on September 12.

Applications submitted on or before May 31, 2026, that remain pending for various reasons will be reviewed during the Adalat. Officials will interact directly with applicants to facilitate the early disposal of their applications.

Guidelines for Applicants

Eligible applicants seeking to participate must send a self-signed consent letter by post, which should reach the authorities by September 2. The letter must mention the applicant’s file number, telephone/mobile number and email ID, if available.

The envelope should prominently carry the words ‘PASSPORT ADALAT - SEPTEMBER 2026’.

Applicants may also submit the letter directly to the respective PSKs in Mangaluru or Hubballi.

The RPO has requested applicants to email a copy of the consent letter in advance to policy.rpoblr@cpo.gov.in, with the subject line ‘PASSPORT ADALAT - SEPTEMBER 2026’.

Only requests received by September 2 concerning passport applications submitted on or before May 31, 2026, will be considered for the Adalat.
